India Honors

India Honors 2019 will be the first industry awards ever structured for Business Travel in India. These awards will recognise excellence in the practice of Business Travel across its lifecycle. The India Honors 2019 will be held at the iconic Taj LandsEnd Hotel on 1st November 2019 alongwith the InterChange 2019.

Adjudication process

All nominations, in respective categories, are presented in a case study format. These nominations are endorsed by the corporate leadership of the nominee’s employer.
Finally shortlisted nominations are judged and awarded by the jury.

Eligibility Conditions

  1. Only Business travel professionals who are resident in India will be eligible for the 2019 awards.
  2. Award nominees may have national , regional or global responsibilities in their respective organizations.
  3. Awards nominees will need to have demonstrated excellence in the respective category directly related to the business travel lifecycle during the calendar year 2018 & 2019.
  4. An individual award nominee cannot file more than 2 overall nominations in two different categories.
  5. The award nominations can be across the business travel lifecycle that includes travel/ expense/ payments/ sourcing/ technology/ employee satisfaction/ duty of care & analytics.
  6. Each nomination will be presented in the questionnaire format prescribed.
  7. Incomplete nominations or partially completed nominations will be rejected outright.
  8. The questionnaire needs to be filled in a bullet format with clear concise responses.
  9. Each nomination has to be mandatorily supported by a letter of recommendation issued by a member of the CXO suite of the award nominees India / Regional or Global organisation. The format for the recommendation letter is available here.

Award Categories & Criteria

Procurement

This award recognises excellence in procurement practices in the business travel lifecycle, that result in significant cost reductions & improved program ROI. The nomination will need to clearly outline what were the specific financial targets delivered and the realised reductions of program costs & increased ROI.

Globalization

This award recognises excellence in geographical expansion of a business travel program. Important factors that will influence selection will be the number of countries through which the program was expanded & the number of employees impacted.

Technology

This award recognises the implementation of technology innovatively to bring about improvement in process efficiency / financial savings / resource optimization. Weightage will be attached to automation of manual processes/ use of new technologies or innovative use of existing technology solutions.

Meeting & Incentives

This award recognises excellence in the Meetings & Events category that results in innovative procurement practices / use of automation across delegate touch points / procurement optimization & recorded delegate satisfaction scorecards.

Employee Delight

This award recognises programs that deliver enhanced employee / traveller satisfaction scorecards & generates customer delight. Programs that record / track & measure CSAT scorecards periodically & benchmark progress will get weightage.

Women Traveler Program

This award recognises programs that have taken steps that address the expectations and needs of women travellers within their program. This can relate to multiple aspects like strategy, travel policy, procurement, program fulfilment, vendor selection processes, risk, tracking and security.

Expense & Payment Systems

This award will recognise excellence in the travel expense & payments practice. This includes implementation of technology & process optimization across this vertical to generate resource optimisation / reduced employee touch points / faster processing, reconciliations and settlements and automation of the lifecycle.

Duty of Care

This award recognises excellence in delivering world class corporate duty of care practice. Important criteria will be the demonstrated ability to deliver real time employee tracking, security & risk management. Instances that demonstrate effective results when confronted with negative situations, while having employees on the move will attract weightage.
